Yodio - OTEN Conference 2010

The OTEN conference had its highs and lows. Some things felt repetitive but I did learn a few very useful tools that teachers can use to make the class more engaging for the students.
  • Key-note speaker (Tim Lauer):
    • Looking Back, Looking Ahead: Educational Technology in your Classroomand the Real World
  • Workshop #1 (Jerry Johnson):
    • Visual Learning win Concept Maps
  • Workshop #2 (Anita Z. Boudreau):
    • Customizing Personal Learning Environments for Non-Formal Learning, Professional Development, & Educational Practice

  1. Didn't seem like too much of a stretch to apply some of the concepts/tools you learned about to your subject matter. Diigo for storing web site info sounds quite similar to delicious.com ... and these types of social bookmarking tools can be very powerful in retrieving significant sites you've visited by simply entering a few key tags, or key words.
